Dr. David Jack Becomes a B-Corp

AESTHETIC ARCHIVES

Sustainability has always sat at the centre of how we think about the Dr David Jack group, across clinics, products and people.  Our recently awarded B-Corp certification gives that instinct a structure, a language and, crucially, an external standard against which we are measured and represents a significant milestone in achieving our sustainability goals.

In aesthetics and skincare, it is easy to talk about sustainability in vague or cosmetic terms.  As a team, we wanted something far more robust.  B-Corp asks what you do, and how consistently you do it across governance, operations, supply chains, environmental impact and workforce wellbeing.  That level of scrutiny mattered to us.

Why Sustainability Matters to Our Philosophy

Our work through both our clinics and skincare is inherently long term, a message we’ve consistently reiterated.  Good skin health is not about quick fixes or short-term gains and neither is building a responsible business.  Sustainability, for us, centres around durability as well as environmental stewardship.  Clinical outcomes that age well.  Products that are thoughtfully formulated and responsibly manufactured.  Clinics that are designed to last, not constantly ripped out and replaced.  A team that is supported, retained and allowed to grow.

B-Corp aligns neatly with this way of thinking.  It recognises that environmental responsibility, ethical governance and social impact are not separate from commercial success but integral to it.  As a group operating in healthcare-adjacent spaces, this feels particularly important.  Trust is our currency and sustainability is one of the ways that trust is earned and maintained.

What B-Corp Means in Practice for Our Clinics and Products

Certification has required us to interrogate the full lifecycle of what we do, from how ingredients are sourced and manufacturers selected, to how waste is managed in clinic environments, to how staff are supported and decisions documented.  It has pushed us to be more systematic and transparent, not only in environmental reporting but in governance and accountability.

For our product business, this has sharpened our focus on responsible formulation, packaging choices and supply chain ethics.  For our clinics, some of the first aesthetic clinics to receive B Corp certifications, it reinforces our commitment to thoughtful design, longevity of materials and a working environment that prioritises both patient safety and staff wellbeing.  Sustainability here is a series of cumulative, often unglamorous decisions made consistently over time.

A Collective Commitment from the Team

One of the most encouraging aspects of the B-Corp process has been the enthusiasm from our team.

Sustainability resonates strongly with how people want to work now, particularly in a sector that can be resource intensive if not handled carefully. The process invited contribution from across the organisation, often from people whose work is not publicly visible but is absolutely foundational.  Policies, data, processes and day-to-day practices all came under review. That collective engagement has strengthened the culture of the business and reinforced a shared sense of responsibility.

With Particular Thanks

We owe special thanks to Eloise Kerma, who led us through the B-Corp process with exceptional rigour and clarity.  Navigating certification requires an unusual blend of technical expertise and practical realism.  Eloise brought both, helping us translate intention into evidence and ensuring that sustainability was embedded meaningfully rather than superficially.

We are equally grateful to every member of the team who contributed time, insight and patience.  B-Corp is particularly demanding by design, and it only works when people engage with it honestly.

Looking Forward: Sustainability as an Ongoing Responsibility

Sustainability will continue to shape how we grow, how quickly we expand and how we balance ambition with restraint.  It informs how we think about innovation, about scale and about our role within the wider industry.  We are proud to take this step as a group and confident that it strengthens not only our environmental and social impact, but the clinical integrity and longevity of everything we do.
