Treatments for Thigh Fat

Morpheus8

Morpheus8 is an advanced treatment that effectively reduces excess arm fat. It combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to tighten, contour, and rejuvenate the skin, improving the crepey appearance of arm fat.

At deeper levels, Morpheus8 targets and reduces fat by inducing apoptosis (fat cell death), resulting in long-lasting effects with minimal downtime. This dual-action approach makes Morpheus8 a versatile and effective option for improving the appearance and texture of your arms.

Aqualyx

Aqualyx™ is a highly effective, non-surgical solution for reducing stubborn thigh fat. This innovative treatment permanently dissolves stubborn areas of fat through injections of deoxycholic acid, a substance which is selectively toxic to fat cells. The active ingredients in Aqualyx, derived from plant sources, have the unique ability to break down the cell membranes of fat cells, causing them to release their contents. This released fat is then naturally metabolised and eliminated by the body's lymphatic system. Aqualyx™ offers a targeted approach to contouring the thighs, precisely addressing areas of unwanted fat accumulation. With its minimally invasive nature and minimal downtime, Aqualyx™ achieves a slimmer, more sculpted thigh appearance

What is Thigh Fat?

Although thigh fat might normally be associated with excess weight all over the body, stubborn thigh fat can be a problem for those with an average body weight too.

Thigh fat, which is fat that builds up on the upper thighs, is often caused by hormonal imbalances which can affect where fat lies in the body. Changes in the levels of oestrogen and testosterone, the hormones associated with metabolism and fat storage, can lead to excess fat being stored in the thigh area. These hormonal imbalances can be triggered by pregnancy and menopause, for example.

Women are more likely to be susceptible to thigh fat as higher levels of oestrogen in a woman’s body often mean more fat is stored in the hips and thighs. However, genetics is also a big cause and some women will be more likely to store fat in the upper legs purely because of their genes. Plus, age does also play a part thanks to the slowing down of our metabolism as we get older.

Other causes of thigh fat can include a diet filled with excess calories, particularly calories from processed, high fat, high sugar foods as well as a sedentary lifestyle. Desk jobs which involve minimal movement can contribute to fat build up, and can make stubborn thigh fat even harder to budge.

Fat in the thigh area can be frustrating, and it can be disheartening when diet and exercise doesn’t seem to help lessen its appearance. Get in touch with us to find out how we can help to reduce your thigh fat.
