Treatments for Cellulite

Forma

Forma body is a non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy and deep tissue heating and can effectively improve the appearance of cellulite. The RF energy penetrates deep into the skin, targeting the fibrous bands that cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite. The heat generated by the RF energy helps to break down these bands, while also stimulating collagen production, which can improve skin elasticity and texture.

Additionally, the deep tissue heating can help to temporarily reduce the volume of fat cells, further improving the appearance of cellulite. With multiple treatments, forma body can provide a gradual and natural-looking improvement in cellulite without the need for invasive procedures or downtime.

Profhilo

Profhilo Body can provide excellent results in diminishing the appearance of cellulite due to its unique ability to remodel and restructure the skin from within. This injectable treatment uses a specialised hyaluronic acid formula that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, improving skin elasticity and firmness. As the skin becomes more toned and elastic, the dimpled appearance of cellulite is reduced, resulting in a smoother and more even skin texture. Additionally, Profhilo Body helps to hydrate the skin, further enhancing its appearance and reducing the visibility of cellulite dimples.

Morpheus8

Morpheus8 Body is an advanced body contouring treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy, making it a highly efficient solution for reducing the appearance of cellulite.

The microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing process and stimulating collagen production. Simultaneously, the radiofrequency energy penetrates deep into the skin, heating and remodeling the fibrous bands that cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite. This dual approach not only breaks down the existing cellulite but also tightens and smooths the skin from within. With its ability to target multiple layers of the skin, Morpheus8 Body provides a comprehensive approach to diminishing the appearance of stubborn cellulite while promoting overall skin rejuvenation.

What is Cellulite?

Visible cellulite appears as dimpled or lumpy skin, typically on the lower body, or in thighs, stomach and hips. Cellulite but is far more common in women due to the way that connective tissue is structured in women's skin.

Cellulite is caused by fat deposits which sit underneath the top layer of the skin, pushing against our connective tissue. If the connective tissue struggles to contain the fat cells, it can lead to a puckering effect.

Hormonal factors can play a large role in the development of cellulite as oestrogen contributes to fat storage as well as the structure of connective tissue. The hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy and menopause can cause cellulite as these changes may lead to a change in fat distribution.

Although cellulite does occur more with age thanks to skin losing its elasticity, genetics does play a big role too. If family members have experienced cellulite, then it’s likely you will too due to having similar body types and skin structures.

Treatments for cellulite are available however the results are temporary, so maintenance is important. Get in touch and discover how we can minimise the appearance of your cellulite.
