Smile Lines Treatments

Also known as laughter lines or more scientifically, nasolabial folds, these tiny expression wrinkles sit around the mouth and the eyes and typically worsen as we age. Although they might be associated with happiness and laughter, they can also be a sign of ageing.

A softer approach to getting rid of smile lines is Profhilo. Profhilo is a next-generation injectable with hyaluronic acid, which helps to rebuild lost collagen and elastin, boosts hydration, treats skin laxity and improves overall skin quality.

Localised injections of Profhilo creates little 'bumps' on the skin surface in the interested area, from which the product spreads across in the dermis of the skin.

Profhilo is a unique treatment as it has a dual phase action - initially it gives deep skin hydration and glow, smoothing out of fine lines and wrinkles.
The second phase of treatment is dermal remodelling, due to stimulation of collagen and elastin production by dermal fibroblast cells. The combination of the two phases results in a thickened, healthier dermis of the skin, with longer term reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, which helps you get rid of smile lines and wrinkles.

If they are a display of the first signs of ageing, smile lines can be prevented and reverted with Microneedling, which is a non-surgical procedure for facial rejuvenation. This treatment is designed to improve skin quality through creation of micro-injuries to the dermis and epidermis of the skin.

Microneedling is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles such as smile lines as it increases the levels of elastin in the skin, resulting in skin tightening and improve skin flexibility.

Deeper smile lines are treated with a combination of Morpheus8 and dermal fillers.

Morpheus8 is a skin tightening and lifting treatment, which reduces the appearance of fine lines thanks to its ‘ablative radiofrequency’ technology. This treatments acts by creating micro-lesions on the skin which stimulate collagen replenishment, improving its elasticity.

Dermal fillers will then be used to smooth deeps smile lines with almost no downtime and fast results. Dermal Fillers are injectables designed to replace lost volume in the deeper tissues of the face, and are thus the optimal choice to smoothen smile lines and wrinkles.
