The Perfect Peel™

The Perfect Peel™ combines several peeling ingredients including TCA, Retinol, Phenol, Vitamin C and Kojic acid to deliver outstanding results after often only one treatment. This unique formula can help smooth fine lines and wrinkles as well as targeting Melasma, sun damage and other causes of hyperpigmentation. It can also improve acne and may over time improve acne scarring. It is classified as a mid-depth peel and should only be performed in-clinic.

The Perfect Peel™ uses powerful ingredients including key anti-aging antioxidant glutathione which is combined with trichloroacetic acid, phenol, retinol, vitamin C and salicylic acid. The peel exfoliates, reduces wrinkles and pores and corrects pigmentation. For patients with active acne or acne scarring we recommend three treatments, one month apart for optimal results. The Perfect Peel treatment itself is fairly straightforward: after cleansing your skin with a drying antiseptic, your therapist will apply three layers of the peel to your skin. Following this, your skin will look slightly orange. The skin will feel a slight tingling sensation for about 1 minute, when the mild anaesthetic effect of the ingredient Phenol will cause this to reduce. We recommend leaving the peel on for 6-12 hours after the treatment (as directed by your practitioner), before washing it off with water to fully neutralise the peel. Following the treatment, you will be given an aftercare pack containing two post-peel retinol towlettes - these should be applied to the treatment area 12-24 hours post treatment after neutralisation, and again 24 hours after this. Peeling will start on day 3 post treatment and will continue for 5-6 days. A post-peel moisturiser with steroid will be provided in the aftercare pack.

The Perfect Peel™ improves the overall tone and texture of your skin. It lightens and brightens your skin whilst removing or reducing sun damage, age spots, pore size and acne scars. It softens fine lines and wrinkles and stimulates the production of collagen resulting in firmer, younger looking skin. It can be used on all skin types, takes 15 minutes and requires no pre-peel skin preparation.

The Perfect Peel™ is used only for the face and neck in clinic.

The Perfect Peel™ can be used as part of a treatment plan and can be used with the Pigmentation Facial and Acne Facial as well as Morpheus8 Resurfacing to further combat acne scarring.

Some redness post-peel is to be expected but this will subside quickly. Peeling usually starts on day 3 and continues until day 6-7. The best results will usually be visible one month after the initial treatment.

No - we recommend against having any treatments during the same session as the Perfect Peel.

Yes, we particularly recommend having more than one Perfect Peel treatment for issues such as active acne and acne scarring - usually a series of three treatments, one month apart will give optimal results. We always recommend leaving one month between sessions prior to having another Peel to allow your skin to fully recover from the previous treatment.

We recommend against strenuous exercise where you will sweat on the day of the treatment. When the peel is self-neutralised after 12 hours or so it is safe to exercise.

No - the perfect peel contains a strong retinoid and Phenol, both of which cannot be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Mineral based makeup, such as Oxygenetix can be used after the peel is fully neutralised (day 2 post-peel), however for optimal effects we recommend leaving your skin makeup free for the first week post-peel to minimise irritation of the skin.

We recommend restarting your normal skincare routine at least 1 week post-peel. An aftercare pack will be provided with a post-peel moisturiser with steroid, and we would recommend using a high factor SPF moisturiser (such as our ALL DAY LONG SPF50+ day moisturiser) when the skin begins to peel.
