What is UltraClear™?
UltraClear™ is the world’s first cold ablative fractional fibre laser designed for optimal skin ageing management. Fractional and ablative lasers are viewed by many as the pinnacle of skin rejuvenation, though traditionally, fractional ablative lasers such as CO2 laser and fractional Erbium lasers have been associated with long downtime - a key issue for patients considering these treatments.
UltraClear™ leads the way in the latest laser technology advancements; minimising the downtime associated with fractional and ablative skin lasers, whilst still delivering dramatic results in terms of skin tightening and resurfacing.
By addressing a wide range of skin concerns, from wrinkles and scars to pigmentation and laxity, this treatment offers transformative results for patients that may delay the need for surgery.
How Does Ultraclear Mapping Work?
UltraClear™ has a dual-action effect on the skin, using short, concentrated beams of light to gently remove the outer layers of dull, damaged skin, while also depositing controlled thermal energy at the deeper dermis level to promote more intensive skin healing and collagen regeneration. The treatment can be customised to address specific skin concerns and needs, so our expert practitioners will use different levels ‘mapping’ the treatment according to different area requirements.
It’s powered by patent-pending 3DIntelliPulse™ technology, which automatically blends four sub-pulses of ablative and coagulative laser and simultaneously delivers them with precision to the skin. Each cold ablative sub-pulse offers evenly distributed skin resurfacing, with minimal thermal side effects, while the multiple thermal, coagulative sub-pulses stimulate elastin and hyaluronic acid production, while promoting impressive collagen remodelling, and producing a skin tightening effect.
The balance of cold and thermal energy is also highly consistent, and adjustable, meaning it can provide effective results, without unnecessary thermal damage or too little thermal impact, which could increase the risk of bleeding.
What are the benefits?
Treats deeper wrinkles, laxity, acne scars and uneven skin toneHelps to improve skin tone and pigment for those with certain hyperpigmentation conditions, such as melasmaResurfaces the skin, improving its overall texture and tone by removing damaged skin layers
What areas can be treated?
UltraClear™ can be treated on the whole face and neck eye area only, and on the body (abdomen).
Can it be used with other treatments?
UltraClear™ can be used with a wide range of other rejuvnenation facials, and is particularly effecting when combined with our biostimulating Polynucleotides treatment, for long-term and bolstered collagen production and skin rejuvenation.
How long does it take to see results?
The key concept with this fractional ablative laser is that the technology is being used to stimulate a healing process in your skin, so many factors govern how long it takes to see results. but the post-healing maturation and regenerative effects can take up to six months post treatment to fully show. The results may last a few months. For UltraClear™’s more intense treatment options, your skin will continue to get better for up to a year and the results may last 1 to 5 years.
How do I maximise my results post treatment?
Generally speaking, collagen regeneration can be enhanced by using good topical skincare products to boost collagen production. These include daily sunscreen (to protect both the collagen in your dermis and also the collagen producing cells from the damaging effects of UV light), vitamin C and other antioxidants, as well as retinoids. Similarly, maintaining a healthy diet, low in inflammatory foods and high in antioxidants (particularly vitamin C, which is a cofactor in collagen production) and protein, will help maximise the results from your treatments.
Post-treatment care for UltraClear™ includes keeping the skin hydrated and clean. The key issue to avoid in the early-stage post-treatment is skin infection or irritation of the injured skin (which can cause the skin injuries to deepen or advance). For this reason, aftercare protocols are exceptionally important. Usually an occlusive cream or ointment such as Aquaphor will be used in the days immediately following the treatment, and avoiding sun exposure is essential. Following this, prescribed skincare products to enhance healing will be given.
