What is Acne?

Acne is the most common inflammatory skin condition, characterised by rising sebum levels causing bacteria, such as P.Acne, to colonise the pores, causing a red, irritated and inflamed appearance. The first step in targeting acne is treating the cause, which can stem from a variety of factors, such as hormonal changes, clogged pores, diet, stress and your environment. As a result, acne can manifest in several different forms, ranging from comedonal, inflammatory to hormonal, with some skin types presenting with severe dryness and a high level of sensitivity.

02Steroid Injection

Particularly painful nodules or cysts can be treated by our doctors with steroid injections,a highly effective method for rapidly reducing inflammation, redness and discomfort, with minimal downtime. By delivering a small dose of corticosteroid directly to the lesion, this treatment works for calm the inflammatory response at the source. Steroid injections further prevent the risk of permanent scarring, limiting tissue damage and accelerating healing and faster lesion resolution.

Theraclear Acne treatment is an advanced IPL based laser treatment designed to target P.Acne bacteria on the skin and can be used to treat cystic, inflammatory, nodulocystic, comedonal or postular acne on the face and body.TheraClear ensures a reduction of open and closed comedones in the skin affected by Acne Vulgaris, alongside the vacuum of sebum in the pores, targeting the sebaceous gland and preventing excess production. Results show clearer skin and minimised acne lesions, alongside very little downtime.
