Morpheus8 for skin tightening
By Dr. David Jack
In the last few years Morpheus8, the groundbreaking patented skin tightening and resurfacing treatment, has revolutionised no-surgical rejuvenation treatments for the skin. It can be used anywhere on the body to tighten skin with very little downtime so is ideal for treating challenging areas like the jowls, lower face, around the mouth and jawline, often where conturing filler will not fully solve the problem. My clinic in London was the UK’s first clinic to offer the Morpheus8 treatment, so all of our doctors have developed extensive knowledge of this advanced technology over the last 6 years’. Both myself and Izabela Pawlitka are KOLs and international trainers for the technology.
Morpheus8 uses ‘ablative’ or ‘fractional radiofrequency’ technology, which uses a type of energy delivered deep into the skin in short bursts via microneedles. This creates injuries on the skin surface, so gently resurfaces the skin, and heats under the skin to tighten and lift the deeper layers of the face through collagen and elastin stimulation.
The unique thing about Morpheus8, compared to other skin tightening treatments is that it’s patented technology can penetrate deeply into the skin (from 1-6mm, depending on the treatment head) creating a powerful multi-level skin tightening result, without risking fat reduction or pigmentation changes on the surface of the skin. Morpheus8 can also be a useful treatment for acne scars through its collagen stimulating and skin resurfacing effects.
