FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS ULTRACLEAR®?
UltraClear® utilises an innovative cold fibre laser technology that operates at a precise wavelength of 2910nm. Like CO2 and Erbium:YAG lasers, it targets water molecules within the skin to create fractional thermal (heat) injuries across both the dermis and epidermis.
However, unlike CO2 and Erbium:YAG systems, UltraClear causes minimal impact to the untreated surrounding skin, promoting faster healing and significantly reducing downtime and the risk of side effects such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or post-inflammatory erythema (PIE).
These advantages allow UltraClear® to deliver results comparable to – and potentially better than – other fractional lasers, while avoiding the extended recovery times and elevated risk often associated with more aggressive treatments. This also makes UltraClear® a safer option for darker skin tones, where traditional lasers may not have been suitable.
HOW DOES ULTRACLEAR™ WORK?
UltraClear™ delivers a dual-action effect by emitting short, focused beams of light that gently exfoliate the outer layers of dull or damaged skin, while simultaneously delivering controlled thermal energy to the deeper dermis to stimulate collagen production and enhance skin repair.
This advanced performance is driven by patent-pending 3DIntelliPulse™ technology, which seamlessly integrates four sub-pulses—combining both ablative and coagulative effects—and delivers them with precision. Each cold ablative sub-pulse ensures uniform skin resurfacing with minimal thermal damage or side effects.
HOW do i know which one is the right one for me?
We tend to recommend UltraClear™ 3DMIRACL for skin resurfacing and uneven skin tone.UltraClear™ Mapping is generally suggested for deeper skin rejuvenation that addresses significant wrinkles, acne scars and age spots.UltraClear™ Lift is suggested for drastic skin changes, to target very deep lines, scars of surgical or non surgical nature.
Once you reach out for a consultation, our practitioners will be able to direct you towards the treatment that best addresses your skin needs.
