Carboxytherapy is a novel treatment performed by Dr. David Jack for both skin rejuvenation and fat reduction. It can be used anywhere on the body to improve the appearance of the skin, reduce stretch marks and reduce subcutaneous fat. Dr. Jack uses the latest Carbomix technology for this treatment.

How does carboxytherapy work?

Carboxytherapy is a multi-functional treatment that involves injection of carbon dioxide gas into and below the skin to stimulate rejuvenating effects. When injected into the skin, it has the effect of stimulating collagen production so can be used to treat stretch marks and skin laxity, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to reduce body fat in stubborn areas by injecting below the skin into the body’s fat layers.

What can Carboxytherapy be used to treat?

Carboxytherapy is used to treat skin issues such as laxity, fine lines and wrinkles and stretch marks, and can be used to treat cellulite and help reduce stubborn areas of fat on the body and under the chin (‘submental fat’)

Combination treatments with Carboxytherapy

As with many of the other treatments offered at his clinic, Dr. Jack recommends using multiple different treatment modalities to achieve the best results. When treating fat deposits and cellulite with Carboxytherapy, he will often recommend combining this with treatments such as Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) or Radiofrequency treatments (Such as BodyFx or Forma), which are also available on request at his clinic. Likewise, for skin laxity and stretch marks, he often recommends a course of carboxytherapy in combination with Fractora skin resurfacing, for the best results.

TREATMENT PRICING

Facial treatments £150 per session.
Body treatments £180 – £450 per session, depending on treatment area/size.

FAQ's

What happens during the appointment?

Following history and examination, Dr. Jack will determine if you are a suitable candidate for this treatment and will recommend a course of treatments, either alone or in combination with other treatments. If you decide to proceed, the treatment involves a series of tiny injections using a small needle into the treated area.

Is there any downtime with this treatment?

Downtime is usually very minimal and the treatment has a very low risk of any side effects. Bruising is a risk as a needle is used. There is virtually no risk of allergic reaction as Carbon Dioxide gas naturally occurs in our bodies. A treated area often appears slightly puffy or swollen for an hour or so after the treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Often a course of treatments will be recommended on a weekly basis. Usually 10-12 sessions are required (once per week) for optimal results.

How long do the results last?

As with other collagen stimulating and fat reduction treatments, the effects produced are permanent, however, ongoing ageing processes and changes in body fat composition with weight change can affect this.

Is the treatment painful?

Most people remark that the treatment is slightly uncomfortable but the treatment time is short and the treatment is generally tolerated well.
